Yiddish Book Center Virtual Tour

Thursday, July 137:00—8:00 PMZoom

Learn about Yiddish culture and history through the Stories of Exile Reading Groups for Public Libraries program series! Tonight, we'll be getting an exclusive virtual tour of the Yiddish Book Center, the institution that hosts this program series. Join Education Program Manager, Jennifer, as she guides us through the story of how the Yiddish Book Center was founded, explains their process of collecting and redistributing book donations received from across the globe, and reviews the types of programs they host.

You'll also learn what exactly Yiddish is, where it comes from, who speaks it today, and much more. This inside look of the Yiddish Book Center is only available to participating libraries, so don't miss this opportunity to geek out about all things Yiddish! Make sure you save up your questions for the Q&A session at the end.

Questions? Reach out to Beth at bjacksier@mclinc.org or 215-885-5180 x124.

The Yiddish Book Center’s “Stories of Exile” Reading Groups for Public Libraries is made possible by a gift from Sharon Karmazin.
