Teen Volunteer Event: Suicide Prevention Training

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Teens in grades 9-12 are invited to train in QPR, a suicide prevention training for participants to be able to recognize the warning signs of suicide and Question, Persuade, and Refer people at risk for suicide for help.
In this workshop teens will how to:
- Recognize the warning signs of suicide
- Ask someone about suicidal thoughts
- Offer and connect to help
Service hours will be awarded and pizza will be provided. This program will be facilitated by Hope 4 Tomorrow and Access Services. It is open to any teen in grades 9-12, and registration is required.
