For our July 29 event we will welcome Nicole Gablein from the Women's Center of Montgomery County. She will lead an interactive program about teen dating violence*.
This program is open to any "teen" entering grades 6-12, and registration is appreciated. Questions? Contact Sara Huff, Head of Young Adult Services, at shuff@mclinc.org or 215-885-5180, ext. 147.
About dating violence:
Dating violence can take place in person, online, or through technology. It is a type of intimate partner violence that can include physical violence, sexual violence, psychological aggression, and stalking. Data from the CDC's Youth Risk Behavior Survey in 2021 indicated that among U.S. middle school and high school students who reported dating during the 12 months before the survey, about 1 in 12 experienced physical dating violence and about 1 in 10 experienced sexual dating violence.
Registration for this event has now closed.
