LGBTQ+ kids & allies in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to a Virtual Rainbow Connections Halloween Party via Zoom! Parents & caregivers are encouraged to attend this child-centered program. Meet new friends and talk about LGBTQ+ themed books and topics in a safe space.   Kids are encouraged to dress up in costumes.  There will be music, games, and a pumpkin decorating contest with prizes!  Here are the pumpkin decorating contest guidelines:

Decorate a pumpkin (either with materials, or carving is okay, too) to match one of the following categories:
Cutest
Scariest
Best use of recycled materials

Take a picture of the decorated pumpkin, indicate what category the pumpkin is in, and send it to jolzak@mclinc.org no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Monday, October 10.  I will then put the pictures in a slideshow and kids will vote for their favorite pumpkin in each category on October 10.  Feel free to also bring your pumpkin to the meetup.  If you decide to carve a pumpkin, it may be best to wait until a few days before the meetup to do the carving if you want to show the pumpkin off at the event.
