Doggone Good Readers: Grades 1-5

Doggone Good Readers is back! This program gives children in grades 1-5 the opportunity to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs! Studies show that children who read aloud to gentle, non-judgmental listeners, such as therapy dogs, feel more confident about their reading skills.
Up to eight dogs will be available as Doggone Good Listeners during each Saturday program. During the session, one or two children will be assigned to each dog and given time to read to them and their handler. Children may read from books that they have brought from home or from a selection of books provided by the library.
Please register in advance for ONE of the following time slots--10:00-10:30 or 10:45-11:15--on each scheduled date.
