Learn to use a Chromebook for job searching, work-related activities, or personal computing needs! This 5-week course meets twice a week and will cover the essentials of how to use a Chromebook, which is a type of laptop that is great for beginners who just want to use the internet. Chromebooks are fast, secure and cost-effective computers that run the Google Chrome operating system. By the end of the course, you’ll have a foundation for Chromebooks to navigate the Internet and connect with others by email.   

Class size is limited.  We will have Chromebooks available in our physical classroom. To practice outside of the class, you can borrow a Chromebook with a built-in connection to the Internet from our Library of Things collection or use your own!  Please let us know if you wish to bring your own Chromebook to our classroom or prefer to participate via Zoom.  

Prerequisite: Be sure to have a Gmail address/Google account and know your login credentials to take full advantage of this series.  Need help with signing up for a free Gmail account? Week 3:  Welcome to the Internet: Wed., 9/21 + Thurs, 9/22 

Week 4:  Web Search and Google: Wed., 9/28 + Thurs, 9/29

Week 5:  Using Email:  Wed., 10/5 + Thurs, 10/6
