Creativity Workshops for Teens: Creative Writing
Wednesday, July 102:00—4:00 PMCommunity Room, Kitchen + Middle Abington Free Library1030 Old York Rd, Abington, PA, 19001
Do you enjoy creative writing and want a comfortable space to write and get feedback about your work? Or are you someone who would like to write more creatively but finds it hard to get started? This will be a combination writing workshop and a space for those (who are comfortable with it) to read some of your work or request feedback from peers. For those of you who prefer it, we will offer writing prompts to help you access your creative writing side. This will be a safe, non-judgmental zone in which to have fun and practice or hone your writing skills-feel free to bring some of your own creative writing projects to work on if desired!
Kate Shreckengast, a Drexel University Library and Information Science Graduate student, will be leading this program. This program is open to any "teen" entering grades 6-12, and registration is required. Questions? Contact Young Adult / Reference Librarian Sara Huff at shuff@mclinc.org or 215-885-5180, ext. 147.
