Join us for Story Chefs, a creative writing workshop for children in grades 2-5. During this first of two sessions, "Stirring Up Ideas" will be the focus. Children will play with words and cook up fresh story ideas, use a blank journal (provided during class) to draw or write down their thoughts, and begin to shape their ideas into a brand-new story.  

The second session, "Recipe for Good Writing," will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31. Both sessions will be led by Children's Department head Carolyn DuBois, who is an associate member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
