Teens ages 13+ are invited to join artist Keville Bowen to learn how to draw comic and anime heroes! This character design course looks back at notable Black comic book and manga characters starting from the early 60s, their roles in the stories, and the cultural effects they had on their readers. Students will also learn an easy approach to drawing their own superhero from faces to poses. Be sure to bring your sketchbook!
We will also be holding this program for kids ages 8-12 on Wednesday, February 12.
Want to learn more about the history of Black superheros? Join us for two film screenings!
