A Taste of African Heritage

Wednesday, September 135:30—6:30 PMZoom

A Taste of African Heritage is a three-week course from Oldways that focuses on traditional vegan meals from the African Diaspora. Learn how to pair green and grains and enjoy a deliciously healthy summer meal.  Cook along from home with food educator Claire Richardson as we make our way through heart-healthy African meals.

The African Heritage Diet is a way of eating based on the healthy food traditions of people with African roots. This healthy way of eating is powerfully nutritious and delicious, and naturally meets the guidelines experts recommend for supporting good health.

Classes will meet virtually from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on three Wednesdays: September 13, 20, and 27.

Each week participants will receive an email in advance of class with the recipes, ingredients, and recommended cooking tools.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of Abington Township Public Library.
